Bursaries
The foundation proudly recognizes the contribution of the hospital’s personnel committed to offer quality medical and human care to the patients and users. The bursaries are awarded for exceptional achievements.
The bursaries are awarded yearly at the annual fundraising gala.
The « Éva-Bégin-Perras » Bursary
This bursary honors the unconditional voluntary work of the late Éva-Bégin-Perras. She was posthumous enthronement to the LaSalle Hospital’s Foundation Hall of Fame in 2000. She particularly appreciated the relentless work of nurses.
Every year, jointly with her sons, Jacques and Jean, the foundation awards the Eva-Bégin-Perras bursary. Three $2,000 bursaries are remitted to select prize-winning projects presented by the LaSalle Hospital nurses.
The «Maurice Lacharité » Bursary:
In 2003, the Foundation once again awarded the Maurice-Lacharité Bursary. This award honors the memory of Doctor Maurice Lacharité who was the founder of the LaSalle Hospital in 1961. This $2,000 bursary is awarded to a select project presented by LaSalle Hospital professionals
The « Georgette Bédard » Bursary
This award is dedicated to the memory of Nurse Georgette Bédard. She was Head Nurse who contributed to the LaSalle Hospital birth in 1961. She gave 20 years of loyal service. Since 2005, a $1,000 bursary is awarded to a select project presented by the LaSalle Hospital’s personnel.
The « André Couture » Bursary
This $ 2 000 award enhances the professional contributions of members of the Professional College of Dentists Doctors of the Lasalle Hospital LaSalle. It honors the memory of Dr. André Couture doctor at the Lasalle hospital from 1977 to 1998, chairman of the CMDP (1987-1989) and director of professional services.
The names of the recipients are engraved on respective boards at the LaSalle Hospital. They are remitted at the LaSalle Hospital Foundation’s annual gala.
